Britain’s showjumpers will open their Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup campaign on 22 May in Rome.
Britain, which is among the 10 teams in Europe division 1, will chase points in 4 of the 8 Nations Cup venues for this division: Rome, Falsterbo (11 July), Hickstead (1 August) and Dublin (8 August). Although they can compete at the other 12 Nations Cup competitions in Europe division 1 and 2, they are not eligible to chase points.
Besides the Netherlands, Ukraine and Germany, Britain will face France in Rome — the only venue at which they will be up against the defending champions.
The top 7 teams in division 1 qualify for the Furusiyya Final, which will take place in Barcelona (9-12 October).
The series starts in Lummen, Belgium on 2 May, where France will take on the host country Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Britain hosts the penultimate leg, Hickstead — facing Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium — before the team heads to Dublin for the final leg a week later.
