National Equine Database speeds up service for users

  • The National Equine Database says it now offers users a “speedier” experience.

NED has relocated to a new “virtual server” to “continue to better users’ experience of the site in terms of speed and information available”.

The links between horses on NED, as supplied by over 100 organisations, is being “continually improved” and some new interactive features are planned for the autumn and festive season.

NED was launched in November 2008 and contains information on over a million horses, ponies and donkeys – and has details of every passport issued by a UK passport issuing organisation (PIO).
