London Fashion Week takes inspiration from H&H

  • Not best known for its fashion knowledge, Horse & Hound got a name check on the international runway during London Fashion Week.

Top London designer Henry Holland took inspiration for his autumn/winter 2011 collection from the magazine, entitling his 19 February show “House of Holland girl subscribes to Horse & Hound.”

House of Holland spokesman Caroline Adams said: “Henry likes to chart the evolution of the House of Holland girl in his collections. She used to go to raves, but has grown up a little and now goes to dinner parties and subscribes to H&H.”

She described the collection, which included crocheted scarves, pearls and hot pink Harris Tweed, as “granny chic”.

Henry Holland said: “Like most people I know my introduction to Horse & Hound magazine was via the film Notting Hill!

“This season I felt the archetypal Horse & Hound reader was the perfect muse for
    the collection.”

Perhaps we should send him a subscription?
