Injured event rider making good progress

  • Former event rider Polly Williamson — who suffered severe head injuries in a fall in December 2011 — is continuing to make steady progress, and was recently given back her driving licence.

“Being able to drive will make a big difference to her being able to build up her teaching, something she had started to focus more on before her accident,” said Polly’s sister, Tory Jowett.

Polly no longer rides, but horses she produced before her fall have been out winning this season. Stanly, partnered by Sophie Beaty, won the U18 national championships at Houghton and Smart Time, ridden by Dani Evans, won the CCI2* U25 at Tattersalls.
