Hovis’ Friday Diary book to raise funds for Bransby

  • Hovis’ Friday Diary has become something of an institution on the H&H forum since member Karen Thompson started posting her horse’s weekly updates back in 2008.

Now his fans can have their own collection of Hovis the Clydesdale’s cheeky and irreverent reflections about his life in a new book Hovis’ Friday diary – From the Beginning (2008-2010), which is being published to raise funds for Carrot and Spud, two horses at the Bransby Home of Rest for Horses in Lincolnshire.

“I chose to donate the profits of the book to Bransby as it is my local equine welfare charity and I know it is close to the hearts of many H&H forum members, without whose support the diary would not have been published,” explained Karen.

Carrot and Spud, were rescued from Stamford in Lincolnshire with the assistance of H&H forum members in September 2009. The proceeds from the book will be put into a trust to cover the ongoing costs of their care.

The book costs £4.99 plus p&p and will be on sale from 9 June via the H&H Shop, while fans who would like to pre-order their editions can do so on Bransby website at www.bransbyhorses.co.uk
