HorseandHound.co.uk is still officially the top equestrian website in the country.
During the first half of 2010, HorseandHound.co.uk once again beat all the competitors to stay the top equestrian website in the UK, according to new industry figures.
The six-monthly Hitwise Top 10 awards monitor the most popular websites, based on the number of people visiting each day. HorseandHound.co.uk was top for horse fans during the last six months of 2009, and stayed the most popular from January to June 2010.
It also remained the third most popular website in the overall pets and animals sector. The RSPB website (www.rspb.org.uk) has taken over the top slot from www.pets4homes.co.uk.
H&H website editor Carol Phillips said: “I am delighted that HorseandHound.co.uk has now been the official number 1 equestrian website in the UK for a full year.
“On top of our breaking news service, horses for sale marketplace and a hugely passionate web community, we now have over 40,000 facebook fans and a growing following on twitter, enabling our users to keep in touch with Horse & Hound in whichever way that suits them best.”
