Horseandhound.co.uk is now the top equestrian website in the country.
The six-monthly Hitwise Top 10 awards provide a snapshot of which websites are proving most popular, based on the number of visits received, and in the period from July-December 2009 H&H was the top equestrian site.
It was also the third most popular site in the pets and animals sector.
This is an improvement on the previous period — January-June 2009 — when Horseandhound.co.uk was rated fifth in the pets and animals sector.
H&H website editor Carol Phillips said: “I am delighted that Horseandhound.co.uk can now be officially described as the number 1 equestrian website in the UK.
“It’s great that all our hard work bringing breaking news to our readers, as well as having a fabulous marketplace of horses for sale and a hugely passionate web community, keeps them coming back time after time.”
