Horse & Hound wins third Equestrian Social Media Award

  • Horse & Hound has won a third Equestrian Social Media Award (ESMA) for the “best use of social media by a publication” – for the second year running.

The judges said H&H’s use of social media was: “Well considered and well-rounded with many well deserved followers.”

Burghley Horse Trials won “best YouTube channel” and The Pure Feed Company won “best feed company” in today’s (Wednesday 7 March) awards announcements.

The central and southern Africa award went to Neigh-Bours, the south-west Europe went to Cavallo Magazine and event rider Mark Todd won the ESMA for south-east Asia and Oceania.

Earlier in the week H&H won the ESMAs for “best equestrian social network” for our forum and for “most informative”.

H&H website editor Carol Phillips said: “It’s fabulous to have equalled the three ESMAs that we won last year, especially as this year we had to impress an expert panel of judges as well as getting our social media fans to vote for us. We are proud to have won the ‘best publication’ category, so thanks to all of our social media fans. We couldn’t have done this without you.”
