Former jockey Willie Carson to star in “I’m a Celebrity…”

  • Former Flat jockey turned racing presenter Willie Carson is to star in the new series of I’m A Celebrity…. Get Me Out Of Here.

“I am determined to really enjoy my experience in the jungle,” he said. “I don’t know what lies ahead and whether it will be the hardest thing I have ever done, but at the same time, I am not dreading anything either.”

Willie, who is 68, will celebrate in his birthday in the jungle next week (16 November) but could be eating grubs rather than birthday cake.

He will be joined by comedian – and Grand National winning owner – Freddie Starr, McFly’s Dougie Poynter, former Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase, The Only Way Is Essex’s Mark Wright, American actress Stefanie Powers, The Real Hustle actress Jessica Jane Clement, Benidorm actress Crissy Rock, Coronation Street star Antony Cotton and former Olympian Fatima Whitbread

The series starts on Sunday (13 November) at 9pm on ITV.
