  • Horses and pop stars seem to becoming an increasingly popular pairing.

Leona Lewis has her own charity and is a Horse of the Year Show ambassador — just don’t mention the Grand National. It’s been widely reported that Dappy, of NDubz fame, is a keen horseman, even though most of the coverage was about him being kicked in the face when he fell off.

And now Jordan Stephens, one half of hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks, is set to star in the E4 show Glue — a “murder and secrets” drama set in racing.

He’s joined by Jessie Cave of Harry Potter fame, Yasmin Paige of Submarine, Callum Turner of Leaving and Faye Marsay from Fresh Meat.

Filming has already started in Lambourn, Valley of the Racehorse, for the new 8-part series, which will show in the autumn.

Sophie Gardiner, Channel 4 commissioning editor, said: “The line-up reads like a roll call of some of the brightest up-and-coming talent around. We can’t wait for them to bring our bold new series to life. Brace yourselves for a trip to the countryside… E4 style.”
