David Tolley, a great personality on the eventing circuit, died on 14 May in hospital in Oxford, after suffering a cerebral aneurysm.
His funeral takes place tomorrow, May 25, at 4pm at Oxford Crematorium.
The family has requested that attendees wear bright clothing and that there are no flowers.
David, 69, and his wife Jane – an international judge officiating at Badminton and Burghley – ran a successful eventing yard at Kingston Lisle, Oxfordshire.
They produced several four-star horses, including Five Boys (ridden by Kitty Boggis), Merillion and Hinegar (Matt Ryan and Andrew Nicholson), and employed young riders such as Chris King.
The Tolleys had been living in Spain since 2005.
