Countrywide launches first TV advert campaign

  • Rural suppliers Countrywide is to have its first advert on national television.

The TV campaign showcases the range of retail products and services available at Countrywide through the eyes of one family – each with their own ideas on what they want to buy during a visit to their local Countrywide store, be it riding boots and riding hat, a lawnmower, chicken coop or pet food for the puppy.

There are 48 Countrywide stores across the UK, targeting the equestrian, agricultural and rural industries. The advert also features real staff members offering customers advice and expertise.

“The main objective of the advert is to drive footfall into our stores and to introduce the Countrywide brand to other potential customers who may not have thought of shopping with us previously,” says Countrywide marketing manager Rebecca Barningham.

The TV campaign launches today (Monday 31 October) and will continue running throughout November on ITV in the central south region.

“The majority of our marketing investment has traditionally been in local press and through specialist titles,” added Ms Barningham. “We are delighted with the TV advert and ensuring it would be seen at peak times was a key objective for the business.”

To coincide with the TV advert, Countrywide are undertaking a series of store refurbishments to give their country stores a professional and modern feel, plus the new Countrywide “value range” is to be launched in early November
