The Aachen CHIO in Germany should provide valuable pointers the European Championships in Holland later this month.
Dressage
The retirement of Gigolo and Bonfire saw the end of an era and this competition should show who is likely to claim their throne. The Germans will be team favourites with Ulla Salzgeber (Rusty), Nadine Capellmann (Farbenfroh) and Alexander Simons de Ridder (Chacomo). The fourth place has yet to be filled with Isabelle Worth (Anthony), Hubertus Schmidt (My Fair Lady), Michael Klimke (White Foot), Heike Kemmer (Albano) and Rudolf Zeilinger (Livigno) all in contention.
