Croatian judges have ended an epic eight-year trial by declaring Djino the donkey not guilty of assault.
Djino was charged with deliberately biting an eight-year-old girl in Blazevdo, Croatia. His owner, Ljubomir Smrndic, convinced the court that the donkey’s action was a natural response to being tormented by the girl.
Unfotunately, Djino the donkey will not be celebrating, since he died two years ago.
