The final for the British Young Riders Dressage Scheme’s new Young Professionals Award is to be held at The Talland School of Equitation, Glos, on 15 February.
Judges Carl Hester and Nicola Jourdain will assess six riders aged 18 to 25 riding horses provided by Talland.
All six finalists — Natalie Banks, 23, Richard Black, 24, Amy Blount, 20, Rachel Finan, 24, Laura Jarvis, 19, and Theresa Smyth, 24 — will receive training grants.
The judges will be looking for riders who are “evolving professionals”. The scheme has been developed in lieu of the former talent-spotting programme.
