Michael Whitaker continues winning streak after ban

Michael Whitaker continued his fantastic return to form at the weekend, winning a Rolex FEI World Cup jumping qualifier in Verona, Italy.
Riding Insul Tech Amai in the fourth leg of the series, the British show jumper was second to go in a five-horse jump off over a testing track created by Contrad Holmfield.
Michael Whitaker and Amai raced round to finish in 37.49sec.
The win comes hot on the heels of his winning return to competition in New York the previous weekend — following after a four-month ban.
The British Olympic show jumper was found guilty in September of inadvertently doping his stallion Tackeray. His ban started in June, when the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) announced it had founded traces of altrenogest, a substance banned for use in stallions, in a random sample taken in May.
Second-placed in Verona was Gilbert Brockmann from Germany on No Fater's Son, and in third Kevin Staut and Silvana from France.
