REACT training clinics launched for novice event riders

The British Eventing Coaching Development Team (CDT) has launched a new series of winter indoor training clinics, sponsored by Tri-Zone, designed to offer novice riders top-class training and instruction.
The REACT eventing clinics, which aim to bring together the three phases of eventing, will feature instruction from Olympic and European medallist Jeanette Brakewell, Tiny Clapham and Charlotte Bathe, alongside Jonathan Chapman BHSI, Ros Morgan and Simon Lawrence, to name but a few.
The clinics feature instruction on the flat and over jumps, in groups of four. Riders will also be able to quiz instructors on feeding, fitness and correct tack, and will receive a brief appraisal of suitable forthcoming events.
It is hoped that the clinics, which focus on riding in balance and rhythm, will equip riders with the depth of knowledge and skills necessary to be competitive and to progress in the sport. Each clinic place costs £40.
The first clinic took place on Tuesday at Ropsley in Lincolnshire, with another planned for next Friday, at Bury Farm in Slapton, Buckinghamshire with Jonathan Chapman and Sue Edwards.
