Grand slam eventing champion Pippa Funnell will be officially opening a new £4.75m equestrian centre in Norwich this weekend.
Pippa will open Easton College’s new equestrian centre on Saturday (24 October).
The centre boasts an Olympic-sized riding arena, viewing gallery and American barn stabling for 32 horses, as well as an outdoor riding complex and teaching rooms.
Easton College, which is best known for its agricultural and horticultural training, has 150 equestrian students and more than 450 students on animal welfare courses.
“This is a major leap forward for our plans to be a top regional college in the equestrian and animal science and welfare field,” said college principal David Lawrence.
“We’re thrilled Pippa Funnell is to give the centre its official opening. It will be part of a memorable few weeks for the college and its future.”
Easton College also hopes the new centre will provide an opportunities for local owners to take up livery spaces as well as offering special training for dressage, show jumping and driving.
