Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an attack on a pony earlier this month.

Four-year-old grey Welsh pony Baby Boo was found with severe burns to her rump and tail in a field off Mill Lane in Stapleford on Sunday 9 August.

Police believe she was covered with petrol and set alight.

A 19-year-old and 17-year-old man both from the Stapleford area were arrested today (Thursday 27 August) by Nottinghamshire Police on suspicion of animal cruelty.
