Shetland ponies to visit Wiltshire Garden Centre

Horse lovers in Wiltshire will get the chance to meet three Shetland ponies at a garden centre charity event in September.
Phoenix Children’s Foundation is visiting the Whitehall Garden Centre in Lacock on Sunday 13 September with three Shetland ponies to raise money for the Riding for the Disabled Association.
Mark Self, marketing director of the garden centre said: “We are delighted that The Phoenix Children’s Foundation will be coming to the garden centre.
“People will be able to meet the ponies and learn more about them, while finding out more about the good work of the charity.”
The Leicester-based charity has helped children across the UK by donating equipment and toys to hospitals and care facilities, as well as raising money for other charities.
It has also recently introduced a “sponsor a pony scheme”, where people can support a pony and receive a photograph and yearly newsletter from the charity.
Joyce Moore of the Moore Joy Stud has donated many of the Shetlands to the charity in support of their work.
Visitors will be able to meet the ponies and have photographs taken with them from 10.30am until 4pm.
