Sending emails to British Eventing (BE) members rather than using the post will save £50,000 a year, according to the society.
BE members are being asked to vote for electronic communication at an extraordinary general meeting on 7 August at Gatcombe Horse Trials.
BE officials also want to change the date of the next board elections from 2011to 2010, and the date when chairman Alexandra Fox’s appointment ends, from 2013 to 2012, to rectify mistakes caused by a delay to the 2007 elections.
