A horse in Derbyshire had to be euthanised after police and a local vet believe it had been shot in the head.
Derbyshire Horsewatch says the horse, an Appaloosa female, was shot between May 25 and June 2 in a field near the village of Chinley, between Glossop and Chapel-en-le-frith, Derbyshire.
The vet said the wound in the right side of the face was consistent with a bullet wound.
