Pony Club branches will receive a training boost for young eventers this summer, thanks to the HSBC.
The bank, which already sponsors the FEI’s eventing World Cup and Classics series, will fund the HSBC Pony Club Eventing Training Programme, covering instruction in dressage, show jumping and cross-country for each of the UK’s 345 Pony Club branches.
Pony Club chief executive Judy Edwards said: “Training is the key word in the Pony Club’s 80th anniversary year. We are delighted to be welcoming HSBC as sponsors of this exciting new eventing training initiative.
“The funding will enable many more of our members to access the specialist training that is so essential for progression within the sport.”
Funding will be allocated to each of the Pony Club regions, with each branch responsible for deciding what training they would like.
