Leading horse charity World Horse Welfare has created a new membership scheme that also offers personal accident and public liability insurance for £1 a week.
The scheme is called ChampionPlus and was launched at Badminton Horse Trials. It provides members with £10million public liability insurance and £15,000 personal accident cover for riding and handling horses.
Members also receive invitations to special members’ days, free expert horse care advice and newsletters.
Chief executive of World Horse Welfare, Roly Owers, said: “ChampionPlus members will not only help us to help horses all over the world but they have the added advantage of great insurance benefits for horse riders costing just £1 a week. What better way to help us?”
A standard membership of World Horse Welfare costs £36 annually, whereas ChampionPlus is £52 for the same period.
