The Pony Club novice championships are moving to Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre in Cheshire this year.
Hosted by the the Cheshire Hunt North branch of the Pony Club, the novice championships are being held on 29-30 August. The novice finals for dressage, show jumping and eventing will all be contested at the event.
Last year the novice championships were held at Smallwood Livery Centre, Brookhouse Green in Cheshire but due to the increase in competitor numbers — which have doubled in the last five years — a larger venue was needed.
David Knowles, secretary of the novice championships said: “The Cheshire Hunt North branch are very excited about the new venue, as we will now be able to offer our competitors more space and also extend the onsite stabling area and shopping village.
“We are confident that those who attend the novice championships in 2009 will agree that the decision to move has paid off.”
