Police appeal for information on stolen tack and riding boots

Police are appealing for information after tack and a number of pairs of expensive riding boots were stolen from a farm in Dorset at the end of last month.
The break-ins took place overnight on two successive days at White Mill Farm, near Wimborne.
The first happened between 7pm and 10pm on Thursday 26 February and the second around the same time on Friday 27 February.
During the first break-in the thieves took wood-working power tools, four saddles and a number of boxed pairs of new and exclusive Italian leather riding boots made by De Niro Boot Co (pictured below).
On the following night the thieves stole further power tools as well as the remaining stock of boots.
Detective sergeant Mark Jenkins, from Dorset police, said: “I’m appealing to the public for help in finding those responsible for these burglaries, which are almost certainly connected.
“I’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard a suspicious vehicle near White Mill Farm or in the lanes leading to the farm.
“The stolen boots are very distinctive and not readily available in this country and I hope that by releasing pictures of them someone will recognise them being offered for sale – perhaps at a show or country fair – and contact the police.”
