A 37-year-old horse has been rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in its stable.
Two fire engines from Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue arrived at the stables in Mid Lothian at 7.30am yesterday morning (10 February) to help the elderly horse.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said: “The fire service were called to attend to an elderly horse which had collapsed and needed assistance.
