“What credit crunch?” organisers were asking themselves last night at the end of a record-breaking sell-out London Olympia Horse Show.
The seven-day show sold over 80,000 tickets and completely filled six of its 12 performances — a first in its 38-year history. Five more performances were 95 per cent full, too.
Organiser Simon Brooks-Ward told H&H: “I think we’re in dreamland, but it’s the reality.”
He added: “Only one performance sold every ticket last year.
“We are delighted, and the crowds have created the most electric atmosphere at each and every performance.
“We couldn’t have wished for a better Olympia.”
