A dog has been surrendered to Northamptonshire Police after a horse and rider were attacked on a bridleway in Northamptonshire.
Shelley Odell and 20-year-old Jake were on the Brampton Valley Way, near Hanging Houghton last week, when a Staffordshire Bull terrier, gave chase.
Jake sustained injuries to his chest and sheath.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the owner of the dog had been “very cooperative”, and the incident is being investigated.
