The UK equestrian sponsorship round-up

  • Haygain has announced its sponsorship of eventer Kitty King.
Kitty said she started using Haygain this year, after a poor season of haylage.
“It was old dusty grass that was baled, as it had been so wet in the spring,” she said. “The horses weren’t eating it as well as our old stuff and a few started to cough on it or get a dirty nose.
“Since using the Haygain, this problem has completely cleared up and the horses are finding it a lot more palatable.”

Spillers has confirmed it will be the official feed supplier at Horse of the Year Show 2013 (9-13 October). All of the 1,600 horses and ponies who attend the show will have access to Spillers feeds.
Rachel Austin from Spillers said: “We are honoured to be chosen as the official feed supplier at what is probably the most important and popular show on the UK’s equestrian calendar. Our feeds help to maintain the health and performance of thousands of horses in the UK — from showing supremos and international showjumpers to family ponies and racehorses.”

William Fox-Pitt is to join Equilibrium‘s team of sponsored riders.
“I have been very pleased with Equilibrium products and impressed by their philosophy in developing products that work in harmony with horses,” William said.

EquestrianClearance.com will continue to support the British Riding Clubs Winter Championships at Hartpury College (29-30 March).
Lorraine Meadowcroft of EquestrianClearance.com said: “We are delighted to continue our sponsorship; it supports grassroots riders wanting to develop their skills across team showjumping and dressage.
“Many of our customers are members of British Riding Clubs up and down the country and the sponsorship is our way of putting something back into the sport.”
