New UK equestrian industry appointments


  • Arena Racing Company (ARC) has appointed Kevin Robertson as the company’s new chief financial officer. Kevin is currently in the equivalent role at At The Races. He took up the position on 1 July.

    ARC managing director, said: “We are delighted Kevin has agreed to join us from our media partners At The Races. His experience ensures he has a detailed understanding of the financial structure of racing which will be of great value to ARC moving forward. ”

    Barbara Scott is now regional sales manager for East Midlands and East Anglia for BEDMAX.
    She joins BEDMAX from Dodson and Horrell, where she held the position of area sales manager for the past 8 years.
    “I am delighted to be joining a company that is at the very fore front in its sector, and the pioneers of bespoke shavings for horse bedding,” she said.

    Horse of the Year Show has a new press and PR officer in Natalie Gudger, who joined Grandstand Group last week.

    Saracen Horse Feeds has 3 new members of staff.

    will join the thoroughbred team alongside thoroughbred director Polly Bonnor and thoroughbred specialist Clare Aitkenhead.
    Stephanie George is the new sales and marketing coordinator while Sally-Anne Perrin joins the administrative team as office supervisor.
    Michael Bacon, sales and marketing director said: “This is an exciting time in the development of Saracen Horse Feeds as we continue to grow into a truly national and international brand.”

    Philippa Cooper and Bryan Mayoh are joining the Thoroughbred Breeders Association’s 12-strong board following an election.
    Philippa Cooper of Normandie Stud, Sussex said: “I would like to thank my fellow breeders for voting for me, it will be a challenge that I relish.”
    Bryan Mayoh, company director and National Hunt breeder, added: “I shall try to help the Board create a better environment for British breeders, to help them reap the rewards that are merited by their important contribution to the racing industry.”
