Insurers KBIS to sponsor eventing’s young horse series

  • Insurers KBIS will sponsor the British Eventing (BE) young horse series this year.

They take over from brokers Lycetts, who stepped down after four years in 2012

The young horse series runs qualifying classes at BE90 and BE100 level for four and five year old horses. It culminates in the young horse championships held at Osberton International (3-6 October 2013).

Previous winners include Borough Pennyz, 11th at the London Olympics with Italy’s Vittoria Panizzon (pictured), 2012 Bramham winner Chilli Morning and four-star horses Cool Mountain, Redesigned and Granntevka Prince.

KBIS also sponsors the open novice under-18 championship series and the festival of youth at Weston Park. They also support four-star rider Izzy Taylor.

Guy Prest, Managing Director of KBIS said “ The Young Horse Series has been of great interest to us over the years. British Eventing together with BEDE events have done a fantastic job in raising the profile of the Championships and providing a true showcase at Osberton.”

Osberton organiser Stuart Buntine added: “We are extremely happy to have sponsors of this calibre supporting the championships. The event has increased in popularity hugely in recent years and this sponsorship will hopefully help us to continue to ride this wave of success.”
