Grand National trophies made in British workshops

  • Trophies for this week’s John Smith’s Grand National meeting at Aintree (4-6 April) will be supplied by British company Inkerman again this year.

The company is designing and making more than 70 trophies for the racing meet, using nine British craft workshops.

“We are proud to be the official trophy supplier for such a truly British sporting occasion and proud of our support of British manufacture,” said director Louise Eadie.

Inkerman is also donating the trophies for the Aintree Legends charity race, which supports the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.

A percentage of proceeds from an exclusive Aintree jug and tumbler set, available to buy at the meet or online, will also go to the charity.
