New UK equestrian industry appointments


  • The Point-to-Point Authority has announced Nick Sutton is its new independent board member.
    Nick said: “I am delighted to accept the invitation to join what is a strong and effective board, and look forward to serving the sport and all of those connected with point-to-point.”

    Former four-star eventer and British senior team member Gary Parsonage has become the chair of selectors for the Charles Owen British Pony squad.
    British Eventing chief executive Mike Etherington-Smith said: “It is extremely exciting to have someone as experienced and knowledgeable as Gary to help continue Britain’s Pony team achievements.”

    Kelso has appointed Ashley Hogg to be the racecourse’s new marketing and PR manager.
    “Racing is big business and is Britain’s second largest sport in terms of crowd numbers after football,” Ashley said.
    “So my main aim is to put Kelso racecourse on the map by attracting more racegoers. This will have a positive impact for both the racecourse and the local area’s economy.”

    Animal health wholesaler, Trilanco, has announced Peter Kearon has been appointed as its new business development manager.
    “We are delighted to add Peter to the team,” said Trilanco’s Martin Balmer. “His experience and expertise makes for an excellent fit with the business and we’re very pleased to have him on board.”

    Veterinary Thermal Imaging has 2 new members on its team. Jennifer Pyke will be covering Cheshire and the surrounding area and Victoria Lindsay will be covering Scotland.

    Jeremy Staples, the chief executive officer of the East of England Agricultural Society, has been appointed secretary of the Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show Society. 
Jeremy replaces David Ralley-Davies who has relocated to manage the Shire Horse Society.

    Dengie Horse Feeds has announced Hannah Atkins has joined its nutrition team on a one-year internship after gaining a degree in Sports Science from Warwickshire College.
