I know how u feel.....I took a little rescue bichon for the new owner to look after it whilst they where on holiday...I literally had it one hour....went to open my van to pick it up and put it in and it jumped backwards and slipped it's collar ....I balme myself, because I always put a slip lead on, as never trust the owners to put collars on tight enough.
The little dog did a runner, I freaked and got on my hands and knees in the middle of the road, and in my silliest voice was practically begging it to come to me, my OH ran to the back of it and my mams partner, ran to block another exit, I screamed of my mam to open her gate, and it ran into her garden My heart was racing with sheer panick

It's the dream, afraid of waking, that never takes the chance.
It's the one, who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give. (me) sadly.
And the soul, afraid of dying, that never learns to live.
