Dog Bite
      13/10/2008 22:53

Daughter walked our labrador last Thursday on lead, Lady came in the opposite direction with Spaniel also on lead. Spaniel decided to take a lump out of my labradors back. Daughter running home with dog in tears (daughter not dog). At first because of the dogs thick coat I thought it was more like a flap of skin but taking her to vets & having been shaved she has a serious 1 inch wound almost 8cm deep. Vets wouldn't stitch immediately so I have to syringe the wound out 6 times a day with Hibiscrub & insert a gel to improve tissue, shes on AB. She is an absolute lemon drop and the owner of the spaniel in the village said she was very upset that her dog had done this, turns out she did not buy the dog as a puppy & has no history of its temperment but did admit that it attacked her sister's dog 3 weeks ago. Why did she not control the b***** thing on a lead. Rant over.
