Swollen Overy?...Bit long!
      10/10/2008 16:51

Anyone else had or heard of this problem? I tried to put my mare in foal a few years ago now. Had her all checked by the vet who said that there was a nice egg sat waiting, so injected her to bring her into season. Sent her away, waited the however many days it is before getting her scanned, however, when we did get her scanned, we didn't have anything there, but he did say that er one overy was the size of a grapefruit, and that it definatly wasn't like that when he 1st examined her!
I would love to breed with my mare as she has a lovely temperment etc, my worry is though, what are the chances of this flaring up when/if she takes and losing both mother and baby! So i suppose my real question is, what would you guys do?
