What time is SJ on the beeb? I've just got back after a fantastic 2 days at badders! Was disappointed to see my trainer Polly withdraw (though was nervous as hell to see her go!). Thought the course was beautiful except i didn't like the hong kong combination - it just didnt ride well all day, was to trappy but thats just my favouritism for less technical fences. thought the hexagon hedge claimed an awful lot and couldnt really see why? Claytons horse, Nullabor, was clearly wrong a few strides out, just wasnt up for it was he? Shame he fell though!
Had a giggle at Comanche deciding to take up olympic swimming! Was gutted that Mary fell and feeling WFP's disappointment and frustration at that silly run out at the third last! AN didnt get either horse round today...quite young werent they? OT well i just refuse to comment on his obscene riding - i've come to expect it from him now!
I was VERY impressed with a young rider - cant remember her name, not someone i knew, on a chestnut and it was her first time - went clear jumping and did a gorgeous round and finished at that point in 11th. Would love to see her showjump well.
And, well, a badminton that saw andrew hoy, clayton fredericks AND mary king on the floor! Never could have been predicted!
Also liked the increase in seating and food/drink stalls out by the colt pond.
A thoroughly fabulous badminton - its back to being number 1!
