Default today my horse was scared of...

today we were scared of...
A fallen tree that had been cut into pieces (but not the one that was still whole)
A grey horse which was being led rather than ridden
A pram / pushchair which was precisely that, one side pram & the other pushchair

However we did not mind...
The multiple exceptionally noisy motorbikes
The flapping hazard tape leading up to previously mentioned chopped tree
The electric gate into the park which apparently was deemed safe enough to rest his face on as it slid past

Ah it's nice to be back in the saddle again

Horses are mad aren't they! :')

My horse didn't even blink at a forklift truck on the back of a waggon bumping up the road towards him but sheep are the devils work apparently

Our old mare will pass anything - except when the waterboard sprayed some drain covers with a blue cross and the man up the road grows the giant sunflowers. Can't stop them looking at her and she is terrified.

Today, my horse was scared of:-
Lupins
Purple flowers
Some big leaves
A humpback bridge
A cow
A cattle grid (I'll let her off that one, it's a healthy respect!)

She turned a blind eye to:-
A bus that didn't slow down, at all
Balloons tied to a gate
A herd of cows
Motorbike
School playground
Flags, everywhere

Strange animals indeed!!

I was pretty pleased with my list considering that it was a new hack for my little arab and she was all on her own!! I did have to get off and lead her over the bridge though as there was a car behind and nowhere to get off the road!!

My old mare didn't ever blink at a tractor in the field even if it was really close - but on the road!!! That was a whole different story.

One of my most exciting rides ever involved a canal bridge, some ice and a swan.

The swan timed it's take off from under the bridge perfectly as we were right on the top when it flew out and up, causing the mare to canter/slide down the icy bridge - it was pretty scary stuff!

We were fine with the cyclists creeping up behind us, the children popping out of walls and absolutely everything else except.............

...... the clump of grass that was taller then the other clumps of grass.

Totally understandable really.

Haha, well, we are going to experience the bridleway bridge over the motorway next week, but it's me who's the coward then and I have to get off, even though the railings are high!!
