Dear forum users

I can confirm that the long-awaited migration of the H&H forum to vBulletin has been scheduled to take place early next week. On Monday morning (8 March), all of the forum boards except New Lounge 2 and Soapbox will be closed to new posts. New Lounge 2 and Soapbox will remain open while the migration is taking place, BUT anything posted between Monday 8 March and the release on the new forum on Thursday 11 March will NOT be carried over to the new forum. We expect the forum will be reinstated on Thursday 11 March.

There are also some important housekeeping tasks that ALL forum users must undertake prior to the migration taking place.

1. Please update your passwords through the user options. This will ensure that the correct passwords are carried across to the new forum. If you do not update your password then you risk not being able to access the new forum after the migration has taken place.

2. Please be aware that all avatars/profile pictures will be lost in the migration so if you want to reuse your current avatar on the new forum please save it to your desktop so it is handy to upload on the new system.

3. Your current login name will become your display name on the new forum. We are aware that not everyone will want their posts to appear with their login name, so if you want us to reset your login name for you please send an email to hheditor@ipcmedia.com with the subject line “vBulletin – change login/display name”. All name change requests must be received by 6pm on Tuesday 9 March to be put in place before the new forum goes live on Thursday 11 March.

As with all technical changes there may be a few glitches to iron out so please bear with us during the first couple of days after the migration has been completed.

If you are unable to login after the migration, use the forgotten password feature to receive a new password by email. If you continue to have problems after receiving your new password then email hheditor@ipcmedia.com for further instructions.
