Default Michael Whitaker Masterclass

Horse magazine is looking for a rider to have a lesson with show jumper Michael Whitaker on Tuesday 2 March. The lesson will be held at Michael's yard in Nottinghamshire.

To apply, email victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com with a few details about yourself and your horse. Please include your age, your location, what level you compete at and any problem areas you would like to address. If you have a weblink to any schooling/competition photographs of you and your horse, please include this in your application.

If you have already applied for previous Masterclasses, you do not need to send full details again - just let us know if you're available that day and would like to be considered. If you've had a lesson through Horse magazine before, sadly you won't be eligible for this Masterclass.

I'll respond to all applicants after the closing date of Friday 12 February.

Thanks

Do you have to be a certain level to be considered for master classes such as these? ie: able to jump higher than 2'9 for instance? or competing at bsja...etc?

Thanks

It varies - we have a different Masterclass every month, and sometimes we'll opt for more experienced pairings, other times we'll use young or novice horses. As long as you have some competitive jumping experience and if you're not already competing at top affiliated level, then it's worth applying.

Applications are still open to 12 Feb, so I won't be choosing until then.

Many thanks
