Default Breeding your first foal

Can anyone recommend any good literature I can read up on?

Twig my 16.1tb (6yo) sadly did her suspensory ligament out in the field - we were hoping to event her this year. After 6 weeks box rest she has been rescanned and the vet thinks its going to be a long haul of rest in the field to get her right and thinks it would be a wonderful opportunity to breed from her. She has huge paces and a huge jump and has quality racing bloodlines although can be mangey so were looking for something with a good temperment.

She was swabbed yesterday after her scan and by the time this comes back she will be ready for stud.

Were viewing two very different stallioons tomorrow. One is an ID based with Fran Bullock and the other one is this young chap who has trak and bwb bloodlines http://www.jmequineservices.co.uk/audacity.htm he is only 15.2 which concerns me a bit as were hoping to get something 16hh 16.1hh - the added bonus of this stud is that twig can have use of the hydrotherapy/spa too - which were going to speak to vet about.

Anyway, any advice welcome for a complete breeding newbie during a very exciting but also quite scary time! thankyou!

Is the ID stallion Snowford Benson RID? If so I have seen some real quality stock by him and would say go for it, Pics of the mare please but think if it's him you would get a real nice stamp of a horse when put on a TB type!
