Default cleg bites

got bite by clegs yesterday leading horses in, one on left wrist and another on right elbow that have swollen the one on elbow is huge and told by doctor not to work with it tonight..first sick time off in over 4 yrs cant belive it..stupid gleg..anyone else suffer like this..

Yes, I'm humungously allergic to them........ I get swellings the size of half tennis balls and they take weeks to disappear......they also weep and erupt........ bloody things get me through my clothes as well.........

If I catch them in time, there's an anti-histamine gel that stops such a severe reaction.
It's called Apaisyl. I don't know if it's a French product or if you can get it in the UK. So far, it's the only thing that helps......

Horse flies - nasty bitey b*stards!!

Take some cetirizine (Zirtek) is a 24 hour anti histamine - will help to reduce the itching and swelling which is part of your bodies inflammatory reponse.

I used to make a paste with bicarb of soda and water and slap that on cleg bites.
