Anyone elses youngster had warts?

My horse is 2 years old and he had two little lumps near his sheath which i thought were ticks but vet thinks they are warts and said he has never seen ticks on horses before but my others have had ticks. I was wiondering whether warts would be sore to the point that he would kick when you even went to look at them and surely he is past the stage to get warts?

Bailey had a wart on his face until he was about 4/5!! It wasnt sore though so I can't help there.

Warts, Yes, just not where your boy has them! He had them on his muzzle, they cleared up once a lady fussed him who had perfume on her hands! Very odd! Hope you get a few more, useful replies than this!

I am sure that they are ticks but vet said warts but he is in real discomfort with them and the one on his sheath is all red around it and am getting worried that he might get real ill with them

He also only got them this week and on the first day they weren't sore but now they are all red which also make me think they might be ticks

My warmblood had them for about 3 months when he was 17 months, they came and went!
Unsightly though.

my boy had them when he was about 4 around his muzzle. very unsightly but they didn't appear to cause him any pain. didn't stay long either.
