Default Did anyone else not know this either?

I was just reading the Dodson and Horrell feeding chart that Jumpthemoon provided a link to and I was supprised to find out that horses do not store fat on their underbellies!
Am I a total idiot or did anyone else not know this? although feeling my horses underbelly it never ever feels fat and now i know why! I does make sence actually just seeing it written made me feel stupid
Whats everyones horse's condition score?

Am I correct in thinking they carry their "fat packs" behind their shoulders, either side of the withers, in their crest and over their ribs?

Bans condition score is about a 3.5 - 4 so not too bad just needs some toning

I don't know, but I do know that in the summer when my lad gets his "grass belly" he gets love handles in front of his saddle!
