Default Horse Asymmetric in her pelvis?

Also in CR

Has anyone any experiences of a horse with this?

Physio came out last night and said that as a result of an old injury pony was asymmetric behind. Her hip on one side has dropped. The muscles, ligaments etc have hardened to compensate and as a result pony now moves her back legs out and wide as opposed to straight when going forward.

She said it shouldn't affect her ridden work, the only thing I may notice is she shifts me to one side when ridden, which she does.

I'm being advised to have her checked every 3-4 months as opposed to the 6 monthly checks 'normal' ponies would have.

I just wondered if anyone else had anything to share relating to it?

Default Re: Horse Asymmetric in her pelvis?

PF is wonky. Her trainer told me she fractured her pelvis as a yearling/2-year old (I don't recall) It's never caused her any trouble at all
