Dear forum users

There have been a spate of defamatory post on this board. This board was set up to help people find their stolen horses. It is not necessary to name individuals who may have been involved in order to achieve this goal. If people continue to use this board in an inappropriate manner then we will have no option but to remove it from the forum.

In order to reduce confusion about what is (and is not) a defamatory post, here is a basic guide to ensure all users have the same understanding.

1. A post which could damage the reputation of an individual or company is defamatory
2. The person or company does not need to be named - if someone who knows the person/company can identify them from what is posted then this is sufficient for legal action to be taken against IPC AND the individual who posted the message.

Defamatory posts are not acceptable under the forum terms and conditions. I hope that this post helps clarify matters. You may also find the post below useful.
