GingerTrotter's legs are sore today! I wouldnt pass the trot up!
Riding 35k on a horse you've only ridden once before "round the block" at home in a western saddle you've only sat in once was an ouchy experience!
Superb ride though and I did have a rather splendid mount (athough dont tell the ginger one at home that i rode someone else)
Fantastic scenery, great company and a few eye watering gallopy bits!! I do love endurance

What a brilliant report, sounds like lots of fun
I have to admit I have a bit of rosette envy too...

Mrs_M, how very kind! Maybe Dizzy would like to do a pleasure ride?

GingerTrotter, your poor bum! Are the ankles feeling better, at least? I'm not as sore as I was last time, so that possibly bodes well for your next 30 km CR!

nikkimariet, it seems to work to draw an extended trot out of the Spooky Pony, so if you ever have problems with getting a big trot, come join us! Wish I could get him to apply himself like this in the school!

Princess Jess, aww, thanks!

Major rosette envy! They are so very pretty!

Sounds like a great ride and looks like beautiful country / scenery. Well done on your second qualifier - when is you next ride?

Gingertrotter - I'm impressed you can walk! My first few long rides in a Western saddle left me crippled, let alone doing an Enduance in one!

I really enjoy SpookyPony's endurance reports, too. I'm also very envious of the beautiful scenery you had. Well done to both of you.

SpookyPony do you fnd spooky pony is not as spooky any more?
Is he fine on hacks now? How do you fit in all the fittening work required?
Just wondering if the switch to endurance has helped with that at all?
Did you switch to barefoot before deciding to take up endurance or did that happen as part of it?
Fellow spooky horse owner looking for tips on possible fun new activities.

Fab photos, looks like a great sport. Well done on getting the frillies.

Just out of interest , how long does it take to ride 35k/ 50k and also do you get saddle sore much?

Two more pics!

First, one where we appear to have been vertically squashed somehow...but his face looks pretty on this!

I really like this pic:
