Default Cushings and coat change

This is probably a daft question but just wondered if anyone can confirm:
my 25 y/o gelding who has Cushings and is on 1 mg of Prascend is doing well except that over the years his coat has got darker and darker. When he was 5 years old he was a bright bay but his coat is now brown (liike the colour of a conker). Is this just a normal sign of getting old or should I be worried about the dosage of his Prascent? As I said, his coat has got darker gradually over the last 3 or 4 years.

I wouldn't worry at all. Coat changes are quite common as horses age. If you're at all worried about the Pergolide/Prascend dose, get another ACTH test done to reassure you x
