Another vote for Le Chameau. I'd had Hunters for years - then, same as many other people, got fed up with the deterioration in quality. My very kind OH bought me a pair of La Chameau a couple of years ago and they're brilliant - still look like new. Am now a total convert even though the icky green wouldn't be my first choice of colour! Quite expensive, but worth the extra outlay IMO.

Another vote for Le Chameau's - Just bought a new pair as my old ones had begun to split, but after 11 years............ pricey but worth every penny as far as I am concerned

I have Aigle Parcours Varios - love them!! so comfy!

I have only had them a short time but my mum has a pair which have been going for ages and still look new!

Loved my Ariat Mudbusters .... at first. If only they didn't split they'd be perfect! Now on my third replacement pair from Ariat - admittedly they do have excellent customer service and have replaced them each time with no quibbles but really useless boots, all 3 pairs have split in less than a year each time, the last pair in less than 6 months

I get cheap wellies from Robinsons - always under £20 and they have some under £10 at the mo! Then when all the wee and wear and tear destroys them I can buy a new pair without wincing. Some of their cheaper designs are a bit short (i.e. not quite knee height) I've discovered though...I suppose less welly = less money.

Mind you, the reality of any boot lasting with yard staff is not great. The powers that be do not seem to have really designed footwear that will really see them through. Our lot get through a lot and often the very expensive are no better than the cheapies. I do try to take care of my gear as do not want to keep replacing it but fully appreciate that will not work for someone riding lots, mucking out and turning out. I defer any boot to give a good grip walking down to our summer fields at the moment, but the constant buttock clenching is being very helpful!!
